A restaurant at the Alster lake in Hamburg needs a certain maritime touch. In the bar "Lower Deck", you can experience a Hanseatic, honest hospitality service in an associated relaxed atmosphere.
The interior design consists almost exclusively of marine accessories and gives the bar such a particularly cosy charm. A small room with a fireplace and bar area give this place a relaxed atmosphere and make your visit to the"Lower Deck" a very special experience.
Extensive restaurant history: the secret meeting place for artists in Hamburg
The restaurant "Lower Deck" was under the name "Ina Bar" in the 1960s and 1970s, a popular meeting point for many artists who made guest appearances in Hamburg. Our "Kuenstlerzimmer" was a regular artist gossip table, where lots of celebrations were held. Here you will find more information about the interesting history of this little "historic gem".
The kitchen offers regional and seasonal dishes, mainly in the form of themed menus. Would you like to try a "Frisian cattle", or in the early summer, the "Holsteiner asparagus"? We pay great attention to the use of regional products.
We also serve typical dishes of Hamburg, which you could order as little taster portions. Homemade ice creams and desserts will sweeten your dining experience.
We invite you every day from 5pm to the "Lower Deck" to enjoy your dinner.
