1. View of the Alster lake

The view from the sixth floor at the Alsterhaus across the Inner (some parts) and Outer Alster lake is stunning. Enjoy the water ways which have been used over the last century. From here it is only a short walk back to relexa hotel Bellevue and time for a cocktail at the bar.

2. Look the mayor over his shoulder at the town hall

The town hall with its bay windows and its stunning architecture has been for many a popular photo opportunity.

Our tip: the mayor's office is located right on the first floor and the Hamburg residents appreciate it, if the light is still on at a late hour.

3. The Michel - Hamburg's landmark

The way towards Waterkant leads to St. Michaelis Church. The observation area at 106 meters above sea level offers stunning panoramic views and is one of the best photo opportunities in Hamburg. But be aware…. no elevator.

4. The Elbphilharmonie - Hamburg maritime concert hall

Stunning warehouses in the warehouse district lead the way to Rödingsmarkt. The play of light on the roof of Hamburg most expensive real estate is a fantastic motive for eternity. Nearby find more photo opportunities at the Elbphilharmonie.

5. DJH (youth hostel) Stintfang - the balcony to the gateway of the world

Don’t forget your wide-angle lens for the view over the harbor from the panoramic lobby at the youth hostel directlynext to the jetties. Admire the four master's ships and get this great maritime feeling, even on the photos.

6. Reeperbahn and Grosse Freiheit

Even during the day the red light district St. Pauli is a great location for many evocative images. Please note: the prostitutes would always like to be asked permission to photograph.

7. The old Elbe tunnel - 100 years under the river Elbe

Just next to the jetties, the refurbished Elbtunnel offers stunning photo opportunities of the steel works of the freight elevators that can accommodate up to three cars. The southern exit offers great views over Hamburg’s skyline.

8. Close to the big cruise liners

With a harbor ferry or Captain Prüss harbor tour you have the possibility to get very close to the big ships. And try to challenge the skipper to get that little extra closer, to ensure you get a great photo.

9. The Elbstrand of Övelgönne

The harbor ferry goes down the Elbe to the museum Övelgönne. Hamburg photo spot number one and the most beautiful beach and offer views of the largest container ships in the world, while in the West stylishly the sun goes down. A short break in the beach pearl and then by bike, bus or car back to the Jungfernstieg on the Alster.

10. The Outer Alster Lake - the water dam in the middle of the city

Our relexa hotel Bellevue offers on the roof top a magnificent view over the Alster lake - the white sailing boats, stunning patrician houses and small piers ensure you get that postcard picture. And if you still want to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, we recommend to book our offer "Over the roofs of Hamburg” from 165.00 € for 4 days.
