Easter bonfire in Hamburg: along the river Elbe 

Already weeks in advance wood is collected and along the banks of the river Elbe bonfires are erected. Then during Easter on Saturday night, the bonfire along the Elbe from Blankenese until Falkenstein are ignited.

This spectacle on Holy Saturday is such a great event, which should not be missed. One of the biggest Easter fire is ignited every year on the banks of the river Elbe in district Blankenese directly at Treppenviertel.
